YouTube Links Improved

I never really liked how my embedded YouTube videos always ended with a grocery list of other videos which may or may not be related to what you just watched.

If you agree, you’ll celebrate my discovery of a way to thwart that and just let the playing videos end. I’ve corrected several of the most recent embedded videos and will use the technique on all future ones.

Google+ Explained

I knew from the start Google+ was not just another facebook. After watching this, you too will see the big picture (if you haven’t already).

Sex Sells Fiats

Once again, we men take a beating. This time, at the hands of a sultry car-peddling Jezebel. Is this thing actually running on American TV?

Samsung Mocks Apple

I don’t have a TV, and this may be familiar to those who do. I think it’s a brilliant bit of promotion and especially the under-her-breath comment of the young woman near the very end.

Abbey Road Pepper Spray

via Christian Oestlein

The idiot with the badge who sprayed peaceful demonstrators at point-blank range (violating the pepper spray manufacturer’s recommendations) has gone viral and there are countless versions which have been Photoshopped, adding him shamefully in even classic pieces of art. What he did to those kids at UC Davis was uncalled for.

That said, of all those many altered photos, this is one of the best in my opinion, not just because it’s the Beatles album cover (which is the only Beatles cover to mention neither the band nor the album title, BTW).

Here are my reasons for thinking this was done by a Photoshop expert:

  1. Ringo has been removed seamlessly
  2. Cop is perfectly placed
  3. Colors of the inserted cop perfectly match environment
  4. Cop’s arm is swung upward from its original downward attitude
  5. Cop’s shadow drawn nicely (if askew a bit), including spray can
